The brave decision of leaving behind life in Melbourne to start a winery on the Mornington Peninsula is the inspiration behind author Cathy Gowdie's book Foxey's Hangout: the story of one family's vineyard dream.

Cathy's family discovered that establishing a vineyard is hard work but they have been rewarded with beautiful wines and acclaim for their small restaurant.

Foxey's hangout chronicles each month of a year in the vineyard with recipes, some Red Hill local history and evocative photography.

Cathy is a journalist for The Age, mother of two children and loves reading, cooking, writing and wine.

This session is free, however bookings are essential.
