There are many best of 2014 book lists getting around at the
moment so we have gathered a few to compare. The best of course is our Boroondara

best adult, junior and YA reads.
For the rest you can’t beat the Goodreads

around the world. Our friends at local booksellers Readings also have some great
suggestions across all ages and genres.
In the news, some good lists to check out are from Huffington post, Publisher’s
Weekly and for Australian reads try Sydney
Morning Herald’s top books chosen by Australia writers or try the Guardian

The annual Australian
Women’s Writers challenge is the place to go for the best of Australian
women authors. Here you will find many reviews written by readers throughout
the year. Get on board for 2015 and set you own Australian women writers
challenge to find some wonderful local authors.
For non-fiction lovers there is the Washington
Post notable non-fiction or a list of the best from Time magazine.
There are loads of YA lists around but a few we like are Telegraph
UK best of YA, NY times
and Young adult
library services association. For Aussie YA and junior books, check
out the Inky Awards and
the Children’s Book Council of
Australia.
The inspirational Brain
Pickings blog highlights some lovely 2014 picture books for younger readers
that the whole family will love.
Salon
