Congratulations to our neighbour 'across the ditch'

New Zealand author Eleanor Catton has won the 2013 Man Booker prize for her novel The Luminaries.

Eleanor is the youngest winner of the Man Booker prize (28 now, 27 when she wrote the novel).

The Luminaries (at 832 pages) is the longest book ever to win the prize.

She is the second New Zealander to win the prize (the first was Keri Hulme in 1985 for The Bone People)

Click here to reserve The Luminaries.

(Don't be put off by the waiting list - there are more copies on the way!)
