On a cold, rainyMelbourne evening two intrepid Boroondara librarians made their way to the Collins Street Baptist Church to see Norwegian crime writer Jo Nesbo in conversation with bookseller Mary Dalmau (from Readers Feast bookshop).
Jo is the author of the Harry Hole crime novels, seven of which have been translated into english.
They are:
Redbreast
Nemesis
The Devil's Star
The Redeemer
The Snowman
The Leopard
Phantom
A standalone novel Headhunters has already been made into a movie, and The Snowman is being filmed by Martin Scorsese.
The first two Harry Hole novels (The Bat Man, & The cockroaches) will be released in English for the first time later this year.
Nesbo has been to Australia several times and his first novel (The Bat Man) is set in Sydney and was written while he was on a six month sabbatical (in Australia) from his job as a financial analyst.
